In the SUNRISE project, Lurederra is one of the technology centres with expertise in mechanochemical recycling of polyvinyl butyral material. The Minister of Economic and Commercial Development, Mikel Irujo, and the Minister of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Juan Cruz Cigudosa who visited the site honoured this role.
During this visit the ministers were able to see with their own eyes the capabilities and the operational plan of the Technology Centre, recognizing then that the work of the project allows to create materials “with new features and functions, which extend the useful life of products; and the technology thus allows to achieve higher levels of recycling and recovery of waste.
Finally, the article gives a general description of the project and its objectives, thus making known to citizens the capabilities of the Lurederra Technology Centre and the importance of this new European project.
