We are pleased to announce a new survey for key stakeholders involved in the SUNRISE project.

SUNRISE is a significant H2020 initiative focused on developing an innovative multi-sensor classification tool for optimal sorting of laminated glasses based on the composition and degradation of the PVB polymer interlayer. This project aims to enhance the recycling rate of post-consumer PVB, which currently stands at only 9%.

As we enter the final months of this 42-month project, we have achieved several important milestones. Our multi-sensor tool, which combines optical methodologies with AI algorithms, has been successfully integrated at the Lurederra Technological Centre in Spain, with a second demo installed in Italy. These installations support the purification and reuse of PVB in high-quality applications, such as interlayers for laminated glass.

Survey Participation

We invite companies involved in laminated glass recycling to participate in our survey. Your input is crucial in understanding the sector’s needs and requirements, and in assessing how the prototype solutions developed by SUNRISE can fit into your current operations or what modifications might be needed for industrial-scale implementation.

The survey consists of two parts:

  1. Questions about current recycling practices.
  2. Feedback on the solutions developed by the SUNRISE project.

Completing the survey will take no more than 5 minutes. Your participation is highly valuable to us.
